Women-led agricultural enterprises face unique challenges in obtaining financing to expand and grow. To help address these challenges, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced at the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit that Feed the Future would launch a new competition for women-led agricultural enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa. The Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs prize will provide winners with acceleration services including investment readiness consulting, investor matchmaking support, and business analysis. Through these services, the selected entrepreneurs will be ready to take their business to the next level.
